OBEY YOUR THIRST

How do you celebrate an iconic legacy 30 years in the making? By remixing the legendary spot that helped start it all. 30 years after the debut of Sprite’s iconic ‘Obey Your Thirst’ campaign, the brand is still synonymous with culture. in celebration of its anniversary, Sprite relaunched the campaign with some fresh faces (and a few familiar ones) that embodied the same energy of the original when it aired in 1995.

The campaign included an updated version of one of the biggest ads of the generation, along with one of the brightest stars in the NBA, Anthony Edwards. A surprise cameo from the OG spot made it an instant classic.

Only BE You

Ant is going to be Ant on set or off. So naturally, we invited him to give us the inside scoop on all things AE in his Only Be You interview —a series of unfiltered questions answered by the man himself.

One on One

On set, we caught up with AE and the OG (Grant Hill) to discuss what Obey Your Thirst legacy means to them and what it’s like to carry the torch for the next generation in this BTS style content series.

Next, we partnered with the fastest woman alive and Sprite’s first official female athlete, Sha’Carri Richardson. As someone who fully embodies the Obey Your Thirst ethos, she keeps the same energy on and off the track. And unless you’re Mama or Big Mama, she only has one word for the naysayers. “Nah.”

As the first female athlete sponsored by Sprite, Sha’Carri shared gave a BTS interview sharing who inspired her style and other answers the fans were dying to know. And also gave us a look at life away from the track in her Only Be You interview
